is a virtual space where Liyana Aris documents her evolving modest personal style, which is based on the art of looking casually stylish while still remaining modest and doing it all on a budget; about 93% of her closet are filled with affordable things. (PS: The remaining 7% has a lot to do with her secret addiction to Adidas shoes and her occasional splurges on discounted high-end bags and clutches, shhh.) [+]

Short Front Long Back Shirt + Red Boots @ Pasar Seni, Kuala Lumpur

Is this a trend that you think deserves to go big, or are you going "No WAY" at the moment? I have a feeling not everyone is a big fan of this kind of top: short at the front and long at the back.

I actually love the style though; I wish I could find more of this kind of top. If anyone knows where I can stock up on this kind of top, do share please! I found this particular one by chance on sale in Pull & Bear in 1 Utama recently.

This top is convenient for a hijabi like me who wants to jump on the crop-top bandwagon but at the same needs extra covering up at the back.

If you totally hate this shirt's guts, it's completely OK; my husband thinks this top is quirky and right up my alley, my sister said it's plain weird and my brother really, really doesn't like the kooky proportions.

To each his own, I say!

Short top long back shirt: Pull & Bear   |   Jeans: Pimkie   |   Red boots: The Street, The Curve   |   Scarf: Bow Bow   |   Messenger bag: Rocawear

How about you? Are you a fan of the 'short at the front, long(er) at the back' top?
