    Affordorable.com

is a virtual space where Liyana Aris documents her evolving modest personal style, which is based on the art of looking casually stylish while still remaining modest and doing it all on a budget; about 93% of her closet are filled with affordable things. (PS: The remaining 7% has a lot to do with her secret addiction to Adidas shoes and her occasional splurges on discounted high-end bags and clutches, shhh.) [+]

    Syawal is already here.

Ramadhan just ended but I'm already missing it. Here's to hoping we meet Ramadhan again next year!

I know this is a couple of days late but I hope it isn't too late to wish you
Eid Mubarak and Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!

I will be taking some time off from Affordorable but I can't wait to come back and have some posts up again very soon—starting with my Eid outfit, of course!

Loads and LOADS of love from me <3 <3 <3

For me, personally, I adore discounted clothing items and all kinds of sale a lot. A. Lot.

One thing about me is I love buying clothes. And shoes. And bags. And anything that comes in between. Because of this love, I almost never buy anything full-priced when it comes to stocking up my closet. It's not so much that I chose to do so, but it's because I have to

Did I mention that I am a stay-at-home wife? Because this is a very pivotal part of my explanation as to why sales and discounts are so important to me.

So here I list down the reasons why I love discounts and sales and why I must love them:

The Intermark in Kuala Lumpur has put up a few delightful decor installations on their walls, seemingly inspired by the kampung life and Raya Aidilfitriand designed to make most of us adults reminisce on some fond childhood memories.

Well, what's a girl with a camera gonna do but take photos with them?

A modest dress is never the wrong choice when it comes to smart casual for a muslimah, but as always, it's the black blazer to the rescue. Always.

I just love Disney's movies. Adore them. In fact, if you ask me, "What is your most favourite movie ever?", my answer would be "The Emperor's New Groove".

And I am a hundred percent serious. As serious as this long-sleeved, black jumpsuit.

Shah and I bought tickets to listen to a live performance of Disney/Pixar songs by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra at KLCC. Both of us happen to be huge fans of Disney music, and since Dewan Filharmonik Petronas has a dress code to adhere to, I might as well have fun dressing up for the event!

I happen to be a huge fan of intricate henna.

I got these beautiful designs drawn on my hands in quite an unlikely place (or so I thought)a night market in Johor Baru.

I was back in Alor Setar to celebrate the first day of the fasting month with Shah's family. The day before Ramadhan starts, Shah and I went for a quick visit to Penang and was on our way back during dusk time when I glanced out of the window and saw, for the first time, a sky filled with hues of different colours. It was so spectacularly beautiful, to be in a place I've been to many times and witnessed something new, and something you only see in pretty pictures online.

I quickly snapped some photos, of course, and thought that this was such an incredible welcome to the holy month of Ramadhan.

Isn't the sky in the photo above just gorgeous?

To all Muslims around the world,
I know most of us are well into our second day of Ramadhan but I would still like to take an opportunity to wish all of you
    Happy Fasting!

May this Ramadhan be a month of blessing, of forgiveness and of guidance for you and your loved ones.

Loads and LOADS of love! xxoo
