    Affordorable.com

is a virtual space where Liyana Aris documents her evolving modest personal style, which is based on the art of looking casually stylish while still remaining modest and doing it all on a budget; about 93% of her closet are filled with affordable things. (PS: The remaining 7% has a lot to do with her secret addiction to Adidas shoes and her occasional splurges on discounted high-end bags and clutches, shhh.) [+]

    Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!

I felt like this t-shirt was just waiting for me to go to Tokyo to make an appearance...

If you didn't know it, I'm a big fan of Tim Burton's films, and I EVEN GOT TO MEET HIM, how amazingly cool is that??
I grew up watching Tim Burton's moviesShah has said before that that is the exact reason I would wake up in the middle of the night sometimes gasping from a nightmare; he thinks I'm forever traumatized by Tim Burton's movies that I watched when I was "too young", movies that he finds more than a little odd, but you can totally agree to disagree in a healthy marriage.

Beetlejuice is a movie that's in my earliest childhood memories, so when I saw this t-shirt hanging in the men's section in Cotton On, I knew I had to have it.

I didn't find the time to wear it in Malaysia but, I don't know, it feels really natural to be wearing it for the first time here in Tokyo...

Beetlejuice t-shirt: Cotton On (men)   |   Denim jacket: Bershka   |   Leopard print pants: Cotton On   |   Red leather loafers: Timberland   |   Crossbody bag: Chloe Marcie Mini in Brown Sugar

By the way, I know I said in the previous post announcing my arrival in Tokyo that I would update my blog with outfits from my recent Penang trip, but I'm finding it hard to concentrate on anything not Japan-related at the mo. So many things to plan, so little time... Hope that's OK! xxoo
